Glen Park - a hidden treasure - a 'suburban' San Francisco neighborhood

On the corner of Diamond and Bosworth, you will find several well-frequented
coffee houses, a couple of grocery stores, a cheese shop, pet store, hardware store, a bar, liquor store and several restaurants, including a French bistro, a Chinese restaurant, a pizza place and a Mexican taqueria -- all the makings of a neighborhood "village".

Restaurant Review - Buckhorn Grill - Westfield Mall - SOMA / South Beach Neighborhood

In the basement of the Westfield Mall in downtown San Francisco, there is a food court with a number of restaurants providing good quality food at great prices. The Buckhorn Grill is one of these restaurants. It is known for its world famous tri-tip but they also have a number of entree salads that are delicious and very filling. I recently had the Crispy Chicken Avocado and loved it!  The dressing is delicious and the romaine lettuce is crisp. If you want a salad that is filling and fresh, just try one of their 7 entree salads. You will not be disappointed.

Restaurant Review - Mason-Pacific - Nob Hill Neighborhood

I stumbled across this elegant but casual, and not too pricey, restaurant in Nob Hill. They just opened a few weeks ago and it is a popular choice with locals and tourists already. Great menu with interesting selections for appetizers and main dishes. The staff was very friendly. I had a Lamb Pasta dish with a glass of red wine. Delicious! The man next to me had 3 appetizers and they were all winners (according to him). I will come back again with friends.

Restaurant review - Catch - Castro Neighborhood

When you move into the Upper Market / Castro area, there is a wonderful seafood restaurant at 2362 Market called Catch. I have been there several times with different friends. It is always delicious! They seat us quickly even without a reservation.  They have a great brunch. The grilled artichoke is a great appetizer as well as the lobster bisque. For dinner, I love the Seafood stew or the fried Salmon. The desserts are scrumptious too - like the caramelized banana split.  The wait staff is knowledgeable and friendly.

This is a good one.
