Do you like Tapas? Then try Poquito's in Dogpatch at 2368 3rd Street in San Francisco. Nightly Happy Hour starts at 4pm. Delightful menu of tapas and special cocktails.

A delicious menu of Finger Food, Hand Food and Plates.  Lots of Ceviche to choose from and a great Cubano sandwich.
The Churrasco is wonderful. .. Grilled beef on rice with sweet plantains and spinach salad.
The Shrimp Ceviche is awesome ... a traditional Ecuadorian style shrimp ceviche with tostado and popcorn.

This neighborhood is becoming more popular by the day. With the growing population of UCSF and all the new apartment buildings and condos being built here, this corridor to downtown San Francisco is an easy light rail ride to work. Quick access to freeways and great public transportation to the north and to the south. Bike lanes on flat land is an additional plus to this gentrifying neighborhood.

In addition to Poquito's, you will find many saloons and restaurants, like Triple Voodoo Brewery, Third Rail, Mission Rock Resort, Yield Wine Bar and Plow.

If you are looking for a new place to live in San Francisco, check out our website at www.jwavro.com.
With over 20 agents and 150 listings on the rental market, we can help you find your next home in San Francisco or in the immediate SF Bay area.

Glen Park - a hidden treasure - a 'suburban' San Francisco neighborhood

Glen Park - a hidden treasure - a 'suburban' San Francisco neighborhood

On the corner of Diamond and Bosworth, you will find several well-frequented
coffee houses, a couple of grocery stores, a cheese shop, pet store, hardware store, a bar, liquor store and several restaurants, including a French bistro, a Chinese restaurant, a pizza place and a Mexican taqueria -- all the makings of a neighborhood "village".

If you want a home in the City, but with a suburban "feel", you have found a great place to live. This neighborhood was named after Glen Canyon Park where you can hike, bike, walk and play with your kids (and your dogs) in a beautiful meadow surrounded by eucalyptus trees and forest.

The Glen Park district is located to the south of Diamond Heights and Noe Valley, west of Bernal Heights, and east of Glen Canyon Park.  In 2006, a new multi-use, urban infill project opened in the heart of the village, complete with 15 condos and a fantastic natural foods grocery market - Canyon Market. You can get on Interstate 280 and head south to the Peninsula and Silicon Valley or take the Glen Park BART to downtown San Francisco. Muni bus lines that serve Glen Park are 23, 35, 36, 44 and 52 and the J Church Muni Metro Line.

Rental housing prices in Glen Park are not as high as some of the neighborhoods in the NE part of the City that are closer to downtown. You can lease a 1 bedroom apartment for under $2000 a month, a 2 bedroom in the $2000's and a 3 bedroom  in the $3000's. Similar apartments in the NE part of the City would rent for $1000 more per month. If you are looking for a more laid back place to live that has easy public transportation to Big City amenities and quick access to the South Bay - for a fraction of the price - consider this cozy village, Glen Park.

Restaurant Review - Espetus Churrascaria - Hayes Valley

Have you ever been to a Brazilian Steak House? Well, Espetus Churrascaria in San Francisco on Market Street near Gough is an exquisite example of this top quality steak house that is very unique. They serve 12-14 different types of meat on skewers. The prix-fixe menu is offered on a “all-you-can-eat” system and includes a sumptuous Brazilian inspired salad and hot plate bar featuring rice, beans, paella and a variety of side dishes, plus many vegetarian selections. The price is very reasonable considering the fact that you get an endless dinner of the most deliciously seasoned meats you have ever tasted. It is close to the San Francisco Opera House, the new Jazz Center and the Symphony. It is a popular choice before a concert.

If you are looking for a place to live close to Hayes Valley, Civic Center or the Inner Mission, consider reviewing our website at www.jwavro.com for our apartment rentals. We are here to help you find your next home in San Francisco.

Restaurant Review - Buckhorn Grill - Westfield Mall - SOMA / South Beach Neighborhood

In the basement of the Westfield Mall in downtown San Francisco, there is a food court with a number of restaurants providing good quality food at great prices. The Buckhorn Grill is one of these restaurants. It is known for its world famous tri-tip but they also have a number of entree salads that are delicious and very filling. I recently had the Crispy Chicken Avocado and loved it!  The dressing is delicious and the romaine lettuce is crisp. If you want a salad that is filling and fresh, just try one of their 7 entree salads. You will not be disappointed.

If you looking for a place to live in the Soma/S. Beach neighborhood, please consider the Soma Grand. It is a luxury condominium building with 246 units, large common deck and many other amenities. I am a residential leasing agent and have a 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom property coming available in a couple of weeks. It will be priced at $4295 a month with parking available in the garage for $250/month. Please review our J.Wavro Associates website for other rental properties in this neighborhood, all over San Francisco, the E. Bay, Marin and the Peninsula/Silicon Valley. We provide relocation services as well where we tour you for a 1/2 day or full day depending upon your budget and criteria. Give us a call - we're here to help you in your search to find the perfect home in the San Francisco Bay Area.
